As part of our monthly “Company Culture” blog series, we’re publishing interviews with Oversight team members so clients and prospects can get to know us better. Started in 2015 by Oversighter Julia Versaci, we’ve been chronicling employee interviews for almost a full year now. How exciting! We are so pleased with the success and popularity of these posts and enjoy allowing our customers to “get an inside peek” at the people they talk to when engaging with Oversight’s solutions.
The fun is in the interview, but also in what comes next. The “rules” of the interview series are that once you’ve been interviewed for the blog, the subject then picks another person in the office they’d like to get to know better to interview. It’s a fun cycle and we enjoy compiling these for you!
We had a chance to sit down with Julia in her very own interview in May. Now it’s her turn and she picked Demand Generation Manager, Sarah Zoloth – one of the most fun people in the office! Here’s what Sarah had to say….
Q (Julia): How long have you been working for Oversight?
A (Sarah): Just over two years as of this summer.
Q (Julia): What are some of your duties in your role?
A (Sarah): I am responsible for keeping our Demand Generation team running- I make sure everyone has people to call and things to say on the phone! I spend a lot of time making sure materials are up to date and that our internal processes run smoothly for prospects.
Q (Julia): How did you get started in this field?
A (Sarah): In college, I was a part of our Phon-a-thon program, so I was one of the students calling to raise money for the school’s annual fund. I worked as a senior caller there and found that I liked talking to people and developing the best strategies for outreach. This translated well into the marketing and demand generation area when I came to Oversight.
Q (Julia): Where did you live before you started working for Oversight? Are there things that you like about the Atlanta area compared to where you lived before?
A (Sarah): I grew up in South Florida, and I MUCH prefer Atlanta! I love having four actual seasons here, instead of one long hot and humid one.
Q (Julia): Do you have any favorite stories from your time working at Oversight?
A (Sarah): I don’t know about a particular story, but one of my favorite things we do is have team potlucks every month or so. I love to cook for people and it’s a nice way to gather for lunch and enjoy some new dishes.
Q (Julia): What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
A (Sarah): I’m part of a book club and help to run an all-girls comic book club as well. I’ve also been learning to sew lately which has been fun!
Q (Julia): You and I both enjoy reading... What are some of your favorite books?
A (Sarah): My two all time favorites are The Time Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger, and Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.
Q (Julia): What are you reading now?
A (Sarah): I’m reading a book called As I Descended by Robin Talley- it’s a modern retelling of Macbeth.
Q (Julia): What do you like the most about working for Oversight?
A (Sarah): It’s definitely the people here…I don’t think I’ve had a day where I’ve come to work and not laughed at least 5 times!
Q (Julia): Any words of wisdom that you want to share with our customers?
A (Sarah): It never hurts to take a phone call and learn more!
